Saving Spalding Pets

I am part of a volunteer group of people dedicated to rescuing animals awaiting death by "gas chamber" methods. These are the animals at one such shelter, the Spalding county animal shelter in Griffin, GA.

AO6-2436 GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG-KIT-OWNER SURRENDER-RESCUED!

Pretty Kit was dumped at the shelter by her owners for being too territorial. She is reported to do well with kids and other dogs; she is just not crazy about the mailman, the UPS guy, the garbage guy...you get the picture! Kit would do best with an owner who has large dog experience, preferably GSD experience, as Kit has a lot of natural guardian behaviors that can be percieved as unwanted, perhaps landing her back in a shelter. So, please, if you are considering a dog like Kit, make sure you are prepared to deal with those kind of behaviors. You may even need to acquire the services of a professional trainer to mold Kit in to the perfect dog! She is available NOW and her last day is listed as AUGUST 30.
